At the Barracks Road Barnes & Noble on June 25, 2013, Rutherford Institute founder John Whitehead discussed his new book, A Government of Wolves: The Emerging American Police State (released June 25 by SelectBooks).
In his talk, Whitehead noted his interactions with the Westboro Baptist Church and said he is "creeped out" by the growing authoritarianism in the United States. He said he had begun researching the National Security Agency in the 1980s, when the NSA was already "snooping on Americans" and talked about the importance of reading and understanding the U.S. Bill of Rights.
Whitehead was introduced by local radio personality Joe Thomas of WCHV-AM&FM.
